Most people have asked, “ God, are you there?” Are you listening God? God, can you hear me? When the thunder and lightening are still and no responses to their questions are heard, most people begin to question or doubt God’s existence. I was in this category of questioning at one time until I found God. No, God wasn’t in some fancy stained glass church building. God wasn’t in some formal church ceremony either. I found God sitting on an old rickety wooden chair at an old scratched dining room table.
This website is not another religious website claiming to have and know all the answers about God, I don’t. This website is not here to force or push my beliefs on you, your family or friends, I won’t. This website is a journey. This is a journey filled with heartache, joy, laughter and tears, but most important, it is a journey on how I found God and how you can find him too.
A few things I’d like to point out before we begin our journey to find God. I’m not a great writer; frankly, I’m not even a good writer. I write with a journalistic style which is basically, give me the facts not the fluff. So if you find mistakes or want more fluff, I apologize. Second, I truly hope you find freedom on our site: Freedom from religion because then you can find God.
I can unequivocally say without any doubt, God is real and yes, he truly loves you and me. Most children grow up in a family where a specific “religion” is taught. When the child grows up, usually they continue in the “family faith.” This form of religion has perpetuated through the ages. Yes, every once and a while a new religion pops up or another version or book teaching a religion is promoted. Do people find it difficult to learn about God or get to know God I wondered? I am not here to argue or debate religious issues. I am here to take you on a journey where you will see concrete proof that yes you can find God. Proof, if you want to find God, you can. And God already knows about you. As we begin our adventurous journey, I would like to set a guideline please. Please consider your language before posting or responding because young eyes and ears may be reading this journey.
To spice up our adventurous journey, I’ll add tools, links and resources you may find helpful. You may not understand this right now however, when we progress through the journey, you will understand. Let me just say right now, I searched for different tools thinking God would help me accomplish my goals; I had a rude awakening. If you found links or tools that might help others, let me encourage you to share. You never know when your shared tool is just what someone needs.
In finding God, we need to know how to get in touch with God. Does God have a phone number? How do you think you can find out about God? One clear way to find God is a belief that if a Creator made something, they would provide an operator’s manual; an instruction book or owner’s manual. God’s owner’s manual is the Scriptures, a/k/a the Bible. Instead of debating which Bible or what version of the Bible, we will use a Bible that has been used for hundreds of years and is written in sixth grade English. We will use the old fashion King James Bible. Any and all scripture references we use, you will be able to find in any King James Bible. Not the New King James Bible or any other form of a King James Bible, just the plain old King James Bible it keeps things simple.
